DUTIES & JOBS
1. Within Tax Applications, you can manage exemption certificates. You will notify Sales and Customer Service when certificates are about to expire and update them.
2. Control the inbox for credit memo requests. You will analyze submissions and determine the type of adjustments and approvals that are required. To clear monthly balances to the clearing accounts, you will generate and post credit memos.
3. Validate. You will reconcile balances and publish intercompany bills by reviewing AR balances with each business. You will verify the age and payment status of pre-invoices, ensure that no balances have been misapplied, and reconcile with the control account.
4. Adjust sales orders and credit memos. To ensure there are no timing differences in the period, you will analyze open sales order reports to support predicted sales and reconcile with the contribution margin analysis, credit memos, and re-bill invoices. You will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling tax payable control accounts associated with sales transactions.
5. Apply rebate accumulations. You will conduct research to support rebate estimations. You will collaborate with business units to check and record proper accruals. Credit memos will be processed as needed to apply accrual to accounts receivable.
6. Billing and hold requests are processed. You will be responsible for monitoring dashboards for Bill and Hold requests, ensuring that the agreement is complete and accurate, and ensuring that relevant inventory and follow-up orders are processed. You will monitor all open Bill and Hold orders to ensure that goods are transported on time or that storage charges are imposed.
7. Complete end-of-month reporting and analysis. You will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing pending invoices as well as creating accrued invoice entries. In IOS and Sage, you will generate an AP Reconciliation Report and ensure that all postings have passed edit checks. You will go over Sage Invoices and Payment Batch listings to ensure that all batches have been posted. You will examine AR Aging to determine the allowance for bad debt entry.
